Back Porch Gossip
Our cute back porch in Apalachiacola, Florida. Actually we didn't do too much gossiping… too tired from all the painting activities. Just a quick sketch- but I like it. 8x10 acrylic

Duke Mansion, Charlotte NC
This was tough with all the green. I've got some new oil painting brushes and am trying some new things. I almost gave up on this one, but decided to play around with it as an experiment. 11x14 oil.

River Walk Park, Rock Hill, SC
Still on the easel here. Pretty pleased with painting since I was getting bitten by red ants the whole time. I also forgot my stay- wet palette and umbrella and had to improvise. Luckily a few clouds rolled in or the sun would have been brutal. 11x14 acrylic

Hunter Farm, Charlotte NC
Beautiful spring day here in Charlotte. Fun, old buildings with lots of old farm tools. The white, clapboard house was built in 1868. Small building on the right is an old smokehouse that is about to be torn down. Acrylic 11x14

Southern Marsh
This one is still in progress. Hope to finish it this weekend. I used Indianthrene Blue- a softer, grayer blue rather than Ultramarine blue. Acrylic 22x28. My photo had a green marsh, but I changed it to brown.

Summer Field
11x14 Acrylic. Practicing with Chromium Green color. Background mountain and clouds need a little more work.

Captiva Island Florida
Finally done, I think. It's not a good thing to keep "dibby- dabby-ing" paint in a meadow. It's hard to stop yourself! 24x20 Oil. There's a previous painting of this scene on my blog, a few months back. I did it with different colors this time. Not my typical type of scene, but its just so pretty I wanted to give it another try.
Golden Meadow
16x20 Oil. Path at the local greenway. Using my reference photos for now- looking forward to warmer weather.
